Gas-Chromatography Data Acquisition
Software for Professor Paul
Rasmussen of the Chemistry Department
Developing a custom software solution to
easily acquire analog Gas-Chromatography
data through an A/D board and into a
computer for numerical analysis. I am
responsible for nearly the entire
interface, data collection, and analysis.
The data is 10X oversampled with a
smoothing data reduction algorithm used
before beginning the process of finding
the first and second derivatives,
integrals between data dependent points,
delta t's, and possibly some statistical
analysis.
"Hearing Aid Finder"
for EE1185 Senior Design Class
Lead a 12 person team in every stage of
design starting from several preliminary
design reviews until completion of a
working prototype based on the Intel 1185
microcontroller. This entire process was
completed in just 12 weeks. Please click here

"Photo Base"
for Westinghouse Electric Corporation
Developed a hardware/software "Digital
Imaging System" based on off-the-shelf
hardware capable of acquiring, color-correcting,
interpolating, compressing, and
cataloging high resolution images in a
truly distributed environment. Supports
the commercial use of several hundred
photographs daily and offers near-real
time image searching and displaying from
any personal computer in the plant.
Reduction in Force for
Westinghouse Electric Corporation
Developed "Reduction in Workforce"
database software for Westinghouse
Electric Corporation. Uses seniority of
the entire employee population and
determines bumping order for a reduced
job.
